On Monday, 10 June, our fantastic head chef, Hanno Barnard, will be facilitating a fun evening at Vista’s where guests will learn the art of creating homemade pasta from scratch! Perfect as a date night or a fun night with close friends and family, you will use what you have learned to perfect your very own pasta, which will then be prepared and served to you with a bottle of wine from our cellar!
This event is the perfect way to spend a Winter’s Evening, and promises fun and excitement for everyone in attendance.

About our Head Chef – Hanno Barnard
Hanno Barnard is exceptional in his craft. Having experienced every role in the kitchen, he has gained invaluable insights along the way and understands that the kitchen operates as a cohesive unit. He leads his team with passion, dedication, and unrivalled expertise.
His culinary journey began at 13 when he first decided to be a chef, and he has since enjoyed many opportunities to perfect his craft! He worked under Chef GT Lundi at Zest Restaurant in Nelspruit with further experience gained at Nyati Lodge in the Sabi Sands. It was while cleaning 10kg of calamari and preparing 30kg of butternut that he knew he had found his passion!
A creative extrovert who thrives in the kitchen, Hanno graduated from the Capital Hotel School in Pretoria and worked his way to the top. He has honed his skills at prestigious establishments like Protea Hotels, Fortis Hotels, and Kream Restaurant, and finally, together with his talented wife, Danelle Barnard, Hanno opened Vista’s restaurant.
